German Ministry

The founders of the Clearbrook Mennonite Brethren Church in 1930 were people who had emigrated from the Ukraine. They worshipped in the German language. Many of those early settlers and other German speaking people who came later maintained the use of this language. For a number of them this is still their heart language. Therefore, our church continues to have a German language ministry.

Weekly ON-LINE German Worship Service

This service is put together by 3 churches, King Road MB, Eben-Ezer Mennonite and Clearbrook MB (also known as the German Alliance). It is broadcast on TV (CFEG) and is available on our website under Watch Online.

Weekly In-Person German Bible Study

A Bible study is held each Wednesday morning at 9:00 AM, which is in-person in our sanctuary. This Bible study can also be seen on our TV CFEG and on our Website. Visitation to members of this fellowship who have special needs is an important part of this ministry.

Arabic Ministry

Pastor Reda Hanna, serving under the BCMB Church Planting Board, meets with his congregation in our church each Wednesday evening at 7:00PM. Pastor Reda serves the Arabic-speaking population here at Clearbrook MB Church and another group in Surrey.

Services are held in the Arabic language, including Arabic music. There is an open invitation for non Arabic-speaking people to attend. A translator can be provided. Having visitors is a great encouragement to the church. The Arabic Church has also been involved in sponsoring Middle East refugees.

Supporters are invited to special banquets featuring their ethnic foods. Reports are given relating to ministries to Arabic-speaking people. This is a good time for cross-cultural fellowship and developing support.

South Asian Ministry

Arun and Anjana are the first global workers to be sent to Canada. They were commissioned by church partners in India. Arun and Anjana and their 2 sons, Daniel and Joel arrived in Canada in May 2022 from Punjab, India, by invitation of Multiply and with the support of 12 BC MB churches to do outreach and house church planting among the largely unreached Punjabi diaspora within the Fraser Valley.

They hope people from within supporting churches will catch the vision to reach their neighbors and coworkers and invite them as friends to meet and share the gospel. They meet weekly for prayer and worship with a small core group of believers. Please continue to pray for their ongoing cultural adaptation and for their boys as they continue to adjust to Canadian schools.
