The founders of the Clearbrook Mennonite Brethren Church in 1930 were people who had emmigrated from the Ukraine. They worshipped in the German language. Many of those early settlers and other German speaking people who came later maintained the use of this language. For a number of them this is still their heart language. Therefore, our church continues to have a German language ministry.
The 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning worship service, led by Pastor Rudy Froese, includes music by a choir, congregational singing and a message. A 10:00 a.m. midweek Bible study and prayer meeting is held Wednesday mornings. Visitation to members of this fellowship who have special needs is an important part of this ministry.
Cooperative German services
Our church also cooperates with three other German speaking churches for combined services for special religious holidays and deeper life series.
